We are excited to highlight this new build that has gone in on the main road to Secret Beach just a few hundred yards from the waterfront.
The two-story building will be a mixed-use property with a commercial space downstairs which will contain a convenience and/or grocery type store and the upstairs will be a residential rental apartment that can be used for guests and vacationers visiting Secret Beach, according to the builder.
We were also told that not only will the property have a mixed-use building, but that the owner is using the additional land area in the back of the property to construct more rental casitas that can be rented out for guests or possibly even more businesses as well.
This is great news for Secret Beach. More and more homes are being built all the time in the area but having more commercial use properties going in is a testament to how strong the area is actually growing.
It shows demand is continuing to expand and the need for businesses highlights this demand. Not only for daytime visitors who are at Secret Beach for the day to enjoy the waterfront and beach bars. But also for residents who need access to convenient shopping and supplies.
As Secret Beach continues to boom with the construction and development of homes and businesses we are finding that more investors and homebuilders, as well as residents, are choosing to be in the area.
Although this side of Ambergris Caye remains completely off-grid, we believe that is also what draws many of the new residents.
